Through a half-cute, half-”get to the point” fake instant message session (complete with noises!) posted to their Web site, No Doubt revealed over the weekend that in order to get really inspired to write again, they’re going to take their show on the road next year. The conceit of having them use their headshots for their buddy icons is sorta funny, a little bit far-fetched–if my Facebook friends with kids are any indicator, Gwen probably has a shot of Kingston greeting anyone who takes the time to iChat it up with ThisShizIsBananz69. I thought they were already writing? Their album was penciled in for 10/08. But I love ND and Gwen (yes, even The Sweet Escape) so this is good news to me.
I’m stoked as well. No Doubt at their worst is still a lot of fun…and a greatest hits tour is never a bad thing.
