I use this site: [www.mediabase.com] which is the last vestage of Mediabase’s previously generous 200+ place daily rolling chart. It’s only 40 places, but I can easily see what’s being played most on alternative radio this week (since Billboard uses the same information for the Modern Rock Tracks chart, the Sunday chart for Mediabase is similar to the one for Billboard). Right now, Pendulum’s “Propane Nightmares” is at the bottom and climbing. Although, yes, it’s a song by a drum & bass band, it’s a helluvalot more alternative than AC/DC.

I was going to crow a bit about calling it right on Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies” going to No. 1, but I decided against it because it took a week longer than I thought (last week’s big leap fell just short of the penthouse).

Also, “Sometime Around Midnight” by Airborne Toxic Event has been growing in leaps and bounds over the past few weeks, too. Which is suprising. And next week, “Ulysses” by Franz Ferdinand will debut at #33 (or something like that).
