Perhaps realizing that being caught in the act by dozens of phonecam-wielding concertgoers wouldn’t really help his case, Akon has decided to plead guilty in the matter of throwing a 15-year-old audience member offstage back in June 2007. He’ll have to do some community service in order to satisfy the plea. Akon’s decision comes after he requested a jury trial for the case, no doubt while he was under the delusion that the Internet just hadn’t made it to upstate New York yet. [XXL]
