    Why is there a band called The Devil Wears Prada?

  2. Maura Johnston  |   Posted on Dec 19th, 2008

    @MayhemintheHood: a question for the ages:

    Oh man. Brokencyde is playing there. They have my vote as the absolute worst new band of 2008, hands down.

  4. MayhemintheHood  |   Posted on Dec 19th, 2008

    @Maura Johnston: Hahaha. Awesome.

    Hey, Less Than Jake should be highlighted as one of the standouts as well. They’ve been consistantly churning out the pop/ska/punk tunes for over 10 years and, for the most part, refuse to succumb to any pop-punk cliches (especially lyrically).

    Thumbs down for inviting Jefree Starr on this tour though…

    @beefheartfan: Seconded, and firmly.

    There will be no “Bro Hymn”? For shame.

  8. Maura Johnston  |   Posted on Dec 19th, 2008

    @2ironic4u: for real. wtf is that dude’s deal?

  9. KurticusMaximus  |   Posted on Dec 19th, 2008

    Wow, ska gets a surprising showing this year.

    Warped is a fun way to spend a day. Also an excellent time to wear this Onion shirt.

    Big D and the Kids Table is possibly the worst band I have ever seen in my life, well, next to Angels and Airwaves. But Jeffree Star’s appearance might overshadow all of the shit…and a band exists called Dance Gavin Dance? Jesus, I am old, because that sounds absolutely retarded.

    This talk about Jeffree Star made me check out his Myspace page, and all I can say is that it was the most offensive thing I’ve heard/seen/read in a long time. The songs are a crime to music, but also all the shitty imagery and the “about me” section is just as bad. I feel sorry for any young people being exposed to this shit.

    @MayhemintheHood: He’s much worse than Brokencyde.

    AT&T is sponsoring this tour, eh? I miss the good ole days when that kind of sponsorship was considered to be pure evil for many skate-punk fans. The tour is all about hawking shoes and skater brands anyway.

  14. DocStrange  |   Posted on Dec 22nd, 2008

    @breedavies: I will never forgive them for massacring Jonathan Richman’s “New England”.

  15. DocStrange  |   Posted on Dec 22nd, 2008

    @DocStrange: Big D and the Kids Table that is.
