“Celebration,” “Get Down On It,” “The Wanderer”—the covers sprinkled into the New Year’s Eve set that My Morning Jacket played last week make one wonder if they’re going to try and survive the coming downturn by moving into the wedding-band world. (This, of course, brings up the whole notion of whether or not love is recession-proof, but I’m going to try and save the real cynicism until at least the second full week of the month.)
