A tipster sent in what may be the antecedent to Morrissey’s baby-toting artwork for his forthcoming album Years Of Refusal, the cover for various DVD and video editions of the 1992 John Woo flick Hard Boiled. (Notes on the film itself: 230 people die! There is a “cheesy” sax and keyboard-heavy score! Also, “The baby he is carrying famously extinguishes the flames on his leg by pissing down his trousers!”) I don’t know about you guys, but the gun toted by Chow Yun-Fat in the picture at left makes me wonder what the rejected candidates for the items in Moz’s other arm could have been. That movie is still my favorite foreign action film of all time.
Idolator keeps blowing opportunities to do awesome photoshop jobs a la 50 Cent holding a burrito.
@MayhemintheHood: Hard Boiled is seriously awesome, one of the few great films John Woo ever made. 230 people do die, most of them in a 30 minute shootout in a hospital that ends the movie. Couldn’t we also include a reference to that Prodigy song where he talks about sitting alone in his room watching Hard Boiled?
