While few people may pick Franz Ferdinand as their favorite band, they seem to be one of those bands people can agree on liking. (I, personally, don’t think they’ve matched the heights of “Take Me Out,” but they’ve been consistently proficient and enjoyable.) I feel like I need a shower after that video.
I’d like to hear Hans Walter Gabler’s version of this song.
I used to count Franz Ferdinand as my favorite band back in high school…and looking back (well, glancing back really, it was only five years ago) I do owe a lot to them, they got me into British music, and I haven’t looked back since.
But damn, Alex looks rough here. I kind of like it.
I think he is racing Alex Turner to become the successor to Billy Elliott.
Everyone of their singles reminds you of how awesome “Take Me Out” was, without surpassing “Take Me Out.” That’s a problem.
