The inclusion of Los Campesinos! pleases me, but since i'm seeing them in February in Boston, i'm not going out to California to see them again. Add Blur and the Thermals, then i'm slightly more interested

The Smiths? Please. I love them and all, but that's the longest of all longshots, isn't it? I mean, that Britney Spears rumor is probably more likely than the Smihts (I mean, Britney? At a mostly Alternative skewed event? Really?)

People: let's give up the ghost on the Smiths reunion. Robert Plant will rejoin Led Zep before that happens. In short, it won't. Don't forget: Morrissey swore he'd eat his own testicles before performing with the Smiths again (and yes, he acknowledged that he's a staunch vegetarian to further hammer his point home).

Some us are are most excited by the VERY strong rumors that a reunited Specials will play this year's Coachella. Granted Jerry Dammers won't be a part of it, but hey, those of us too young to experience their genius the first time around would REALLY appreciate it...

PS: if Blur plays, they should really toss Oasis on the bill as well. Hell, schedule them at the same time and really take it back to '95!

I’m enjoying my Ultra 09 lineup more and more. Alas my Coachella ‘05 trip was one experience I will never forget.

@Ned Raggett: If Britney's show is sold out (as I'm sure it is) in L.A. I think they'd bend the rule.

Also, are The Killers one of the headliners or just playing the supporting spot? I hope supporting, just so Brandon Flowers can be pissed.

I could see them bending the contractual rules a bit in re: not appearing anywhere else (officially) in the area if playing Coachella. A rule that seems more often to garner exceptions than anything else, admittedly.
