Can You Picture Flea As The New Ronnie Lane?

According to Ron Wood, the hyperactive Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist is going to fill in for the deceased Lane when the Faces reunite for upcoming recordings and tours. (Yes, recordings; apparently Wood and Rod Stewart took a “mini world tour” to Costa Rica, Bermuda, and Miami, where they allegedly wrote an album’s worth of material in between stints of living it up.) Well, I guess since you can’t spell “faces” without f, e, and a, this is a capital idea? I’m sure Rod will be really into Flea’s sartorial choices.     The problem is, some of the best Faces material was written by Lane. I don’t think Flea can make up for that.

    Heck…I wish Lane was still alive…what a talent…

    …it’s more an issue of the band reuniting at all.
