Throw in someone who's made songs for movie soundtracks and stuff and it destroys that dynamic. You'd rather root for like janitors and stuff that happen to have great voices, but I guess Idol doesn't want to take any chances and wants some people who have polish already at the expense of the "magic" of the idea of this show.
