You might wonder what it would take at this point to be named the Motley Fool’s Worst Stock of 2009, and clearly we need to ask Sirius XM. Among the reasons: “the impossibility of meeting its massive immediate debt obligations” and satellite radio’s status as an unnecessary luxury in economically difficult times. As someone who is probably calling the company today to cancel his service after the news that the ability to listen online for free will be taken away on March 11, I have some idea of what the Fools mean.     Online streaming is the one feature I do not care about. Plenty of easy/free streams with just as interesting material.

    Ouch. These guys keep cutting out reasons for people to bother renewing, let alone sign up in the fist place. The changes to online listening don’t bode well.

    I don’t know, I was actually thinking of subscribing now that the iPhone app is rumored to be coming soon. I guess I’m a unique case though, I live in Manhattan with no car so actual satellite listening is a non-issue to me. But having an online stream on my phone would be nice especially since it’s blocked at work.

    I haven’t found comparable free online content yet.
