The Lonely Island (And T-Pain) Take On The DJ Khaled School Of Rap

As a devoted fan of Hot Rod, it would seem like the forthcoming album by the Lonely Island, Incredibad, would be right up my alley. But after a recent move which involved me hauling a box full of novelty discs that surely seemed amusing at some point, the idea of purchasing a comedy album with actual money doesn’t sound like a great idea. Still, “I’m On A Boat” is entertaining, and lines like “I’ve got my swim trunks and my flippy-floppies / I’m flipping burgers, you’re at Kinko’s flipping copies” are right up my alley, especially with T-Pain’s electronic harmonizing. But will this comedy album actually hold up for more than a few weeks? For that matter, has any, other than Bruce McCulloch’s Shame Based Man? [YouTube / Official site]

the timbaland-style bridge of jizz in my pants holds up amazingly well. as does ras trent.

i’m sure it will be played in my house more than the soundtrack to tenacious d’s pick of destiny.

It’s kinda weird how much of this album was already on SNL, many of which don’t seem like they’d work nearly as well without the visuals, but their shit’s still consistently funny enough that I might have to pick it up for the short-term lols.

High five for the endorsement of Shame Based Man, easily one of my favorite comedy albums of all time.

@silkyjumbo: Tenacious D’s first album, on the other hand, holds up very well.

T-Pain’s sing-backs in the second chorus pretty much ensure that this song will be funny for at least three, maybe four spins.

Really, all this song is missing is someone yelling “WE THE BEST” at random intervals.

@Audif Jackson Winters III: “Do The Bartman” is my jam!
