Last night's episode about the long-thought dead lead singer of a KISS-like band coming back and killing the lead singer of a cover band? Yes. Overall, no. The show is great.

1. U2 for five-nights is obviously going to/should (if they know what's best) include at least 1 or 2 outside-the-theater locations. My picks would be above the marquee a la Audioslave and on the fire escape a la TVOTR. Rooftop sounds more likely.

2. I'm praying the Leno's 10PM slot resembles Favre's swan song as a Jet. I give it 3 yrs. max.

@How do I say this ... THROWDINI!: I am going to guess that SVU will stay around. As far as the original... sigh. What sucks is this season, it actually has been so much better than the dark Farina/Rohm/Thompson era. Maybe TNT will pick it up? I can't imagine Dick Wolf's ego going quietly.

Never mind that the next season of Criminal Intent is in turnaround (allegedly premiering in "late April" but who knows). At least Goldblum and D'Onofrio are still doing promos:

I also think that moving Conan to LA is going to at least partially lobotomize it, but I'm biased.

@Mick Kraut: I know he's not as "cool," but you should include Jimmy Kimmel on that list too. His music booker gets a lot of really good bands on that show, big and small. Last week both Morrissey and The Bird and the Bee made appearances.

You are quite right about where people find the music. I had heard about GLASVEGAS on this site and some others but it took seeing them on Letterman to get me to trundle over to iTunes and make the purchase.

I think both Dave and Conan have done a lot of good for alot of bands in their careers both large and small...
