The Yeah Yeah Yeahs Compete In Their Own Quickfire Challenge

I like to think that molecular gastronomist/egg enthusiast Wylie Dufresne, who appeared on last night’s Top Chef thinking of nothing but the incredible edibles known as eggs, would approve of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs‘ cover for their forthcoming It’s Blitz. (Do you think there’s enough time to get Carla Hall to maybe add a backing “hootie hoo” or two to the recording process?)

    From this amazing cover (it’s already my screen-saver) to the reports that Nick Zinner is playing a lot of antique synths on it, I’m officially psyched for this album–not to mention their set at Coachella this year…

    Excited about the album, not as much about the cover. It looks like they went and clicked around flickr until they found something they liked.

    @Weezy F Baby: @cheesebubble:

    @Tauwan:

    Calling “someone” that is. Guess I need to go ahead and pour that third cup of joe.

    Karen O can put whatever the hell she wants on the cover. She is frighteningly wonderful and I love her.

    Just saw this at exclaim.ca. That cover’s gonna look so good on store racks. Y’know, at the stores that know what the fuck they’re doing.

    @Weezy F Baby and Tauwan: meant in a good way – as in awe-inspiring, shocking, startling… she’s bold, fun, wild, in your face, and wonderful!
