Despite being born and raised in Jersey, the Braves have been my favorite baseball team since I was five years old. In fact, they're my favorite spots team, period, and the only one I've rooted for my entire life. Though I'm (of course) upset about losing Smoltzie, and despite missing out on Furcal and some other free agents- and generally not improving our hitting at all- I think we made some good moves in the off-season. Our rotation is much better (though Charlie Morton is a friend of a friend, so I'm upset he's going to be in the bullpen, in the minors, or on another team), we resigned all of the position players we needed to resign, our young guys will improve with experience, and perhaps Francoeur won't be awful this season.</p> Big ups, Lucas!
