When I was editing &lt;i&gt;Metal Edge&lt;/i&gt;, we bought some Metallica photos from a photographer who&#039;d shot them in Romania for the &lt;i&gt;Times&lt;/i&gt;. Just cause the photo credit says &quot;[Name Here] for the New York Times&quot; doesn&#039;t mean the photographer&#039;s an employee. He/she is more often than not a freelancer, and therefore free to sell his/her unused images anywhere at all.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
