Speaking on Radio One earlier today, U2 frontman told Jo Whiley that tickets for his band’s upcoming tour would be reasonably priced, but that people who wanted to spend lots of money on a night out would be welcome too: “We’re trying to work on some cheaper ticket prices because this is the recession,” he said. “We’re also going to have some very expensive ticket prices because rich people have feelings too!” That must be why all those tax-shelter allegations hurt so badly. It should be said, though, that he’s a self righteous douche and his music is rather boring.
I paid $100 to sit in the rafters for the Police. NEVER AGAIN!
I finally heard the new single on the radio yesterday. Disappointment.
You know what Bono, go fuck yourself. “Rich people have feelings too!”?? So rich people don’t like saving money? Be honest you prick, just say you want higher prices because you want more fucking money to buy more fucking shades. Eliminate world poverty my ass.
He is obviously talking about himself.
@LostTurntable: So many retards on the internet. Astounding, really.
@madferrit: Get on your boots, will ya?
I don’t even know what I mean here.
Oh boy, Giants Stadium here I come this summer (or fall, whenever it is).
Can’t wait to queue up to get tickets on the day of, get shitty seats (or nothing) but suddenly, a bunch of people’s moms will tell them they can’t go so they should unload their tickets via the “secondary” market (and their mom will tell them in a split second too, so the tickets will be on sale 30 seconds afterwards).
