Festivals Celebrating 10th Anniversary Of Woodstock ‘99 To Take Place In New York, Germany

OK, OK, so the shows planned for this summer are actually in honor of the 40th anniversary of the “peace, love, psychedelics, and total-bummer traffic jams on the New York State Thruway” version of the festival that took place in 1969, but something tells me that the timing of these concerts and the forthcoming Limp Bizkit reunion is more than a mere coincidence. @2ironic4u: Saw Rage at Rock the Bells last year for the reunion at Randall's Island. I (and my shoes) can speak first hand that the beer limit was probably to fend off seasickness from the ferry.

Don't they recall that people were raped at the food stands?

And there was price gouging too!

@Chris Molanphy: No, absolutely not. The show must, must go on for generations.

Did they learn nothing? Jesus. Could we possibly get through the next 10 iterations of a year ending in a -9 or a -4 without a dubious, overpriced, un-groovy "Woodstock" concert? Bitches, please.

That'd be cool if they had it at Randalls Island in NYC. Can you imagine if Limp Bizkit fans were limited to 5 beers like everyone was at Liberty Star Park for All Points West last year (speaking of, anyone know what the dillio is with that festival this year?)

    oh dear

@Audif Jackson Winters III: break stuff ii: what the hell, everything's broken already

Ha ha, those spoiled kids back in '99 really had something to be angry about, didn't they? Wait 'til they get a load of '09!
