Confirmed Dead or Alive abuser / alleged rabbit abuser Flo Rida will make his Today debut during this summer’s installment of the morning show’s Summer Concert Series (now entering its 14th year!). “I’m getting goosebumps just even thinking about it,” he said of the appearance. “I always do something real big every time I get on TV, but since this is my first time on Today I definitely have to set the mark very high.” That actually makes him sound kind of humble and sweet. Darn you, Flo Rida, making me like you! In other news, the Dave Matthews Band will make its first appearance with Ann Curry and Co. I feel bad for anyone that has to go into makeup at 4am and then perform for a bunch of people who haven’t had their coffee yet.

Also the special guest is Lady GaGa, right? Becuase that well-times bit of marketing synergy made lots of sense.
At that hour of the day, I’ll be impressed if he’s awake and doesn’t have food in his hair. Not that I’ll be awake to be impressed.

@Nunya B: I was probably being a little harsh. I need to remember my New Years resolution to be more positive. I remember him doing that “Mr. A-Z” song on Today and thinking, “This is everything I hate. ‘Clever lyrics,’ that heavily strummed electric acoustic guitar, fake rap-singing.” It’s hard to suppress those feelings. I will try to do better.
@Lucas Jensen: All of those things are annoying and can be visually summed up in the video, where he wears a baby blue tuxedo and “off the wall hat” and dance/sings his way through the bank!? The rest of the people (us) are all boring and wearing drab colors and are “trapped in our own lives” until MR. AZ breezes by us and teaches us to you know, be like him? Or maybe just admire him…..I do not want to sing my deposit instructions to the teller or dance to the ATM. I just want to make sure they do not do that thing where they put a hold on the check for “11 business days” It was not even that much money. Jeez. Maybe I should get his album.
