When The Smoke Jumpers Hear “Abuse,” They Think “Opportunity”

It’s certainly possible that the Smoke Jumpers—who have an emerging radio hit on their hands with “My Flow So Tight,” a dance track that they enterprisingly reworked to throw a few lines in about Chris Brown and his need for an ass-kicking—are an act bursting with talent and possibility that I’ve just overlooked so far. On the other hand, my cynical side seems to think the group popped out of nowhere to make a few bucks from someone else’s misery. I hope I’m wrong, but the song hit radio on the 31st and has picked up a few stations every day, gathering 50 recorded spins in three days, so regardless of the ickiness of their motivations, it might result in success.
