The BBC decided to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the 7-inch single with a trip to The Vinyl Factory, a UK company that, I should note, is putting out a droolworthy (and already sold out) box set version of the forthcoming album by the Pet Shop Boys. I was once bed ridden sick on holiday in northern Romania, the British ‘How It’s Made’ was the only thing on the TV in English. Now, whenever I here “then the cutting machine cuts it to the appropriate length” in a northern accent, I feel a lil queezy..
