If You’d Like To Fight The Internet Masses And Try To Get The New Eminem Single, Have At It

eminem_235_44217aEminem’s “3 A.M.”–which according to reports is darker than the long-ago-TiVoed episode of The Soup that he released as his first single from the forthcoming Relapse–is apparently premiering on Elliott Wilson’s new site Rap Radar as I type this, although good luck getting through to the site, which is apparently slammed by eager Slim Shady fans looking for their hero to return to form. (Nothing like a good old-fashioned MySQL error to whet your appetite!) I’ve been hitting reload for a while now and I think I’m going to wait for off-peak hours to actually hear it, but your computer’s superior processing power might help you get through a bit quicker? (OK, OK, I’m flattering, sorry.) [Rap Radar]

  1. Got through but only heard about half the track. Horror movie stuff about mass murder and serial killing. It’s not much harder than “We Made You”, really (Kim Kardashian’s ass makes a return appearance). The rhymes are insane, though. There’s also a Silence of the Lambs reference. Did this guy spend his entire three years off watching television?

  2. Try Nah Right or 2dopeboyz. Rap Radar is essentially dead of natural traffic.

And there’s a reference to jacking off to “Hannah Montana.” I can only assume that will go over well.

  3. I dunno this sounds pretty 80s…. and what’s up with the chick who keeps singing “eternal”? I don’t get it.

  4. @KinetiQ: maybe em’s a closet Sonic Youth stan.

  5. whoa! great technique, boring song.

  6. for what it’s worth, I really like the beat. It sounds like some of the more “cinematic” work dre put out on 2001 and the game’s first album. Really great.

Em’s voice sounds annoying over it at times. I kinda like his flow, but the content is…eh, I dunno.

I would have liked to hear dre over this track, on Detox. em could have had a guest verse on it.
