Eminem Gives Cinemax A Real Premiere To Cry About

3amThe video for Eminem’s “3 A.M.” will debut on Cinemax this Saturday, right before the movie channel airs some flick about Liv Tyler getting terrorized while on vacation. (Alas, it doesn’t look like it’s a member of the National Lampoon franchise.) The press release touting the video’s debut says that this marks a “first for the network”; you, like me, may be thinking “wait, what about that Kid Rock video all those months ago,” but that was actually just a TV premiere of a video that had already been on YouTube for quite some time. Ah, semantics!

Anyway, Cinemax’s brief forays into music sure are interesting, if only because they sort of tell a bit about the channel’s target demographic. Who wants to bet that Asher Roth is working on a video right now that’ll be tailored to the demands of being spliced in between reruns of Sex Games Cancun?

I probably would have been watching Cinemax at 3 a.m. anyway, but this makes it must-see tv, IMO.
