  3. Of course sales are down versus April 2008, that’s when GTA IV came out. It was like Thriller times Merriweather Post Pavilion for us gamers.

  4. @janinedm: Exactly. I remember last Spring being unusually heavy with big releases. If people are a tad more gunshy because of the economy, sure, but gaming still strikes me as particularly robust compared to a lot of other media. The deluge at Christmas was so huge that I’m still trying to dig out from underneath it.
