    Yesterday I heard a DJ on the local rock station premiere this song, and even he couldn't resist making cracks like "if you liked 'What I've Done,' you'll love this."

    Sounds perfect for rock radio. Probably because, like you said, the verse part of the song IS "What I've Done" (which means it's also "Numb")
