Extremely preliminary reports are claiming that Eminem’s Relapse–which hit stores yesterday–will sell somewhere in the mid-500k range during its first week on sale. If those numbers hold, Relapse will notch the biggest first-week total for an album debuting this year, although that projected total is less than the 710,000 copies Encore sold in its first chart week–which was only three days long, thanks to a leak pushing up its release–back in 2004.
