if you read or watch interviews with this guy (Bowling for Columbine comes to mind) you realize he’s a super thoughtful and intelligent guy. it’s too bad his music rarely bares that out. I’d like to see him lock himself in a studio with Brian Eno and an acoustic guitar and a Moog and see what happens.
Some many boring songs on this album. And they’re all too long to boot. Dude has mistaken slogging for “meaningful”. I expected better with Twiggy’s return.
@yoga: I like the singles from every other album. Hated the Beautiful People era, but Mechanical Animals had awesome singles, and mOBSCENE was a really great song after that crappy Holly Wood phase.
