From the looks of their tour openers, it would seem that Green Day is still pretty nostalgic for the year that American Idiot came out: Franz Ferdinand, the Kaiser Chiefs, and the Bravery will open for the band as they crisscross the world from July to October. Only the Killers are missing, but I guess they’re the only ’04 new wavers that “made it” to headline status.
To be fair, Kaiser Chief’s debut didn’t come out until 2005 (I think?)

I wish Green Day were nostalgic for their Dookie album – back when I gave a damn about them.
Franz Ferdinand impressed me at Coachella this year. I feel bad for them getting lumped in with these other bland groups.
