Chris Brown took a break from playing pickup basketball with Bow Wow and Shaquille O’Neal yesterday to take to the former’s Webcam, in his first statement to fans since he was arrested for allegedly assaulting Rihanna in February. The brief appearance was just to let his “real fans” know that he a) has a new record on the way and b) is not “a monster.” He also referred to all the people impugning his character as “haters,” which, sigh, is just really the worst way to try and get back at your critics (cute animated GIFs notwithstanding), especially if you have a legal hearing set for later in the week, as Brown does tomorrow.
