Whitney Houston’s long-in-the-works follow-up to 2002’s Just Whitney (which was her last non-holiday-themed studio release, and had production credits by Missy Elliott, Bobby Brown, and American Idol bandleader Rickey Minor) is, according to the very excited press people at Sony Music, coming out on Sept. 1. That’s one day after the newly pushed-up end point of the 2010 Grammy eligibility period, which I guess is smart in a “make people remember this record for as long as they can, as much as they can remember any album these days” way.
