BREAKING: Oh My God You Guys Adam Lambert Is Gay

rsThe long-rumored Rolling Stone cover story in which American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert comes clean about being gay, a fact that anyone who met him in Los Angeles over the past years was probably well aware of, has finally made its way to the Internet. And oh boy is the money quote that USA Today–which went with the very simple “Adam Lambert is gay.” lede in its piece on the story–picked out going to get all the Kradam fanfictioneers excited:

“They put me with the cute guy. Distracting! He’s the one guy I found attractive in the whole group on the show: nice, nonchalant, pretty and totally my type — except that he has a wife. I mean he’s open-minded and liberal, but he’s definitely 100% straight.”

That one word, “Distracting,” is going to spark a thousand frenzied stories–and, I hope, another song. (Especially if it incorporates that snake!) Oh, and Adam also takes some time out to crack on people who do coke, which is actually kind of endearing to me.

Liberation? Oh please. Lambert’s a nice looking guy, but this cover picture is WEIRD. I think he looks like a squirrel.

(bracing for the influx of Kradam fiction that’s sure to come from this)

I think the comments section of that article is the most depressing thing I’ve read in months.

I only wish I could get a job at the USA Today recapping magazine articles.

Also, my favorite sentence: “Among his dislikes: cocaine.”

I’m SHOCKED! By? The MEDIA’s obsession with his sexuality, more than with his amazing music, beautiful soul, and incredible perseverance on his journey.

In the meantime, Mr. Adam Lambert’s fans, whatever OUR sexual orientation, know that we have entered the Garden of Eden. The media can run crazy in any direction they want and spin their wheels about him. Us? We are being transformed by his magnificent music AND soul. He motivates me to become a better person. May his light shine on…

@Selu: oh man. my irony detecter is totally jammed after that.

  7. @Selu: Ooh, are we being invaded by superfans again? I can’t remember last time that happened. Jonas Brothers maybe? Or that crazy-haired German(?) band. Tokyo something. Or was it Tokio something. That was fun. Those kids were crazy.

That being said, I can’t wait to enter the Garden of Eden, but mostly because I love apples.
