The Decemberists’ Colin Meloy is participating in Infinite Summer, in which people read David Foster Wallace’s mammoth tour de force Infinite Jest between June 21 and September 21, and in a post on the readathon’s official site he talks about how he’s actually owned the book for about 12 years but hasn’t quite gotten around to reading it yet. (OK, so I’m posting this in part because I’m going to read–ahem, reread–IJ as part of this too, and I was wondering if any of you all out there were as well. Summer starts Sunday!
