NME editor Conor McNicholas is stepping down after seven years editing the apoplectic British fanzine; he’s heading over to the BBC, where he’ll run the magazine tied to the network’s cheeky automotive show Top Gear. It’s apparently the country’s top-selling automotive mag, but jumping from a music magazine to a car magazine certainly seems like an “interesting” career move in the current economic environment.
