Here Is A Link To That “Reviewing Pitchfork In The Style Of A Bunch Of Pitchfork Reviews” Thing, Which I’ve Received 10 E-Mails About This Morning

pugsFor those of you who just want to cut to the chase, the guys at Popsense gave today’s content from the titan of indie reviewing a 6.7. I give the review of their review a 5.6; it gave me a few chuckles, but scored too many easy points for it to enter the “classic takedowns of Internet not-very-sacred cows” pantheon. (I deducted at least .5 for “Also, a using-lots-of-dashes-to-describe-something technique is a lazy way to describe something”–if you’re going to talk about editorial laziness, make sure you don’t use the same noun twice in the sentence covering that topic!) Here Is What The New Health Insurance Labels Will Look Like
Back in August, we told you about how the Dept. of Health & Human Services was finalizing a template for new health insurance labels that would attempt to make it clear what a potential customer was buying and what sort of coverage they would receive.
Here is an update for you.
Hope you have been doing well, and enjoyed your holidays. I know I am so behind in posting!! :) So here is an update for you. In November, I came out to Texas Thanksgiving weekend, for my kids birthday my daughter turned double digits!

  1. haha, appreciate the link to it, thank you!
Gotta specify though, we used the same noun twice because that’s the joke, not out of our own laziness. But again, thanks for reviewing our review of a review!

  2. Actually, I thought the “using-lots-of-dashes” sentence was the funniest part of the whole thing.

  3. yea, pitchfork’s deer tick review was total BS. that is such a great album, but they tore it apart because it wasn’t “indie enough”. gimme a break…. pitchfork is a bunch of pretentious and spiteful pricks.

  4. I do think the onion did a great job with that piece, but it was a totally different task. They did an hilarious job of summing up the idea of pitchfork, but we wanted to go piece by piece, treating their site like it was an album.
