Cinemax: The New Frontier For Music Videos?

tmlym_promo01Following in the footsteps of Eminem, the Jack White/Allison Mosshart project the Dead Weather has decided to debut its Jonathan Glazer-directed video for “Treat Me Like Your Mother” on Cinemax on July 11.

The video will serve as a lead-in to the network’s premiere of the Angelina Jolie/Common superassassin flick Wanted, and the video’s preview would seem to suggest that the movie and the Dead Weather clip share a common thread of people trying to kill other people. I kind of can’t believe that the Dead Weather weren’t beaten to the punch by a tie-in between 3OH!3 and the series premiere of Lingerie (synopsis: “Beautiful former model Lacey Summers tries a new career designing her own line of sexy lingerie”). Talk about missed opportunity!

I clicked through from an RSS feed and I was sure from the headline that this was about the Drake video.

I would rather see Alison Mosshart in HD than Angelina, true facts.
