The Michael Jackson Memorial Lineup: It’ll Be Here

Usher, Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey, John Mayer, and Jennifer Hudson have all been announced as guests at tomorrow’s Michael Jackson memorial service, which will take place at the Staples Center at 10 a.m. PT. The Los Angeles Times‘ Todd Martens is also reporting “on good authority” that more boldfaced names will be added to the lineup for the hot ticket. Play “which Michael Jackson classic will this star cover” with the full lineup after the jump, and remember that matching Mariah Carey with “I’ll Be There” is sort of a gimme.

I’m glad Kobe will be there to represent the (alleged) sexual predator community.

i’m taking the metro there, but they still advised we get there at 7am… that is sooo early for my brain to be dealing with this kind of media frenzy. i should look into caffeine injections.

I forgot that I actually liked that Mariah Carey cover, making it the only song ever sung by Mariah Carey that I didn’t hate with the power of a million suns.

Man in the Mirror is def the big song out of this def, right? I gotta believe that the biggest most acclaimed artist is going to sing this at the end. Its gotta be Stevie Wonder singing Man in the Mirror. Unless, of course, Stevie sings a more poignant Christian anthem. Bank it!

  6. @drinkypuss: Ok, I don’t really want to make a “hey, stevie wonder’s blind”-joke, but I think the internet might break if stevie sings “Man in the Mirror.”
