while at first i thought green lantern had the lamest powers ever, a friend got me into the series, and i became a big fan for years. this one more than most is going to be made or broken by the script. the premise isn’t cool enough to carry the story or write itself, a la iron man.
i agree with the fanboys that are saying he’d make a good guy gardner. this nathan fillion dude they’re talking about seems much better as hal jordan. isn’t ryan reynolds getting a deadpool movie or three though? might be a conflict of interest there, eh?

Being as much of a comics nerd as a music one, my reaction is that he would be a kind of deeply weird choice, but also be on the appealing side for a character that can be really fucking annoying (his appearance in a Justice League issue last week was an all-star pissyshow). I think that’s where the AICN guys are probably coming from–Hal Jordan is on everyone’s shit list right now, but no one can hate JT no matter how hard they try, even fanboys.
