Spencer Smith has posted a snippet of a new song by him and his Panic! At The Disco bandmate Brendon Urie on the band’s official site; it’s called “Oh Glory” and it’s upbeat and dancey, and would seem to bear out Pete Wentz’s claims that this album would feel like more of a natural progression from their first full-length A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out.
And yes, the exclamation point after the word “panic” has returned to the band’s name. I am hoping that this also means a return to the blown-out circus extravaganza touring, because man, that show of theirs that I went to in 2006 was so much fun.

Not many bands survive the departure of their main lyricist. The only bands to survive have been bands like Pink Floyd or Genesis, so there’s either very big things headed Panic’s way or a cataclysmic breakup.
I saw them opening for the Dresden Dolls shortly after “The Only Difference…” impacted alternative radio and it was a very fun show even if I don’t dig pop/punk. “The Only Difference…” remains the only Panic song I really like.
That sample sounded like someone trying really hard to sound like A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out, but I’ll withhold judgment.
