The video for “Open Happiness,” the Coca-Cola-sponsored collaboration between Cee-Lo, Janelle Monae, Fall Out Boy lead singer Patrick Stump, Panic! At The Disco frontman Brendon Urie, and Gym Class Heroes’ Travis McCoy, debuted this morning, and it presents us with a fantastical world in which Urie is reporting the news, Stump is piloting a fishy helicopter, and Monae is teaching the kids of the world how to be more like her (a fine development, if you ask me). There’s also a sly shout-out to Teletubbies, whose super-saturated landscape is very reminiscent of all the colorful joy ping-ponging around the screen here. Clip after the jump.

I’m not super into aspects of the song itself but the video is too adorable to be denied, from my family-friendly-loving POV.
And I LOVE Janelle Monae.
This song’s delightful. I approve.
The song has really grown on me, I admit. And Patrick Stump does make an adorable pilot. I just wonder why it took so long to get the video out- I’m guessing finishing up the FX shots, but it seems like this thing was being promoted for a while.
I don’t give a damn about the advertising (I drink whatever is handy at the time), but damn this song is chill as hell. I am a sucker for a whistled refrain.
