I Wonder If You Can Buy The “Candle In The Wind” CD Single There

princessdiana0044 The former Virgin Megastore site in Orlando’s Downtown Disney is now a shrine to the late Princess Diana; it costs $14.50 to get in if you’re older than nine, i.e., if you were actually a sentient being when she died in 1997. The limited-time museum houses dresses, handwritten letters, and other Royal-related effluvia. Aye! I had no idea. I live on the coast where there’s a shortage of record stores and I used to trek over to that Virgin about once a month to make a 10 or 15 cd haul (in the late 90s/early 00s). It’s a Diana shrine now, but it’s where I bought the last Archers of Loaf cd the day it came out and had Henry Rollins sign my forearm.

Seems to me this retail location lived its life as a candle in the wind, never knowing what trend to cling to when the recession set in.
