A Seattle TV station has conducted an extensive investigation of iPods bursting into flames and injuring their users, one which took kind of a long time because Apple’s team of lawyers kept filing papers to stop the story. You may not be surprised to learn that said iPod-splosions have in fact happened more than a few times over the course of the device’s existence! And since we have heavy music listeners around these parts, I figured I’d ask: Has a flaming iPod ever pie been served to you, or a friend of yours? I actually have a new iPhone and I’ve found that it gets a bit toasty when in areas not covered by AT & T’s craptastic 3G network, but I haven’t smelled smoke that was caused by it overheating yet.
