before “Human After All” i’d have said this was way too turgid to be a Daft Punk track (of course, scoring a film and just making your own songs are two different things, as well). i hope they’ve got a few new tricks in their space helmets, anyway.
I had no idea this existed until we heard about the arcade Saturday night and got in line, not really knowing what was inside. It’s like someone reached directly into my brain and concocted the fulfillment of my childhood dreams. I almost cried.
According to a friend who was covering this event for the media, that is indeed one of the 24 new songs Daft Punk has recorded for the movie. As told to him by a PR rep at the event. Awesome doesn’t even begin to describe it.
