051908_2202Should Presidential-nominee spawn Meghan McCain occupy the guest judge’s chair on American Idol this season? Two signs that the answer is “no”: One, she says that the Republicans’ messaging is “a little pitchy, dawg”; and two, she refers to Kris Allen’s “Heartless” cover as a “country version.” OK, OK, so her music taste isn’t totally terrible, but still! 1. I haven’t watched AI since the first year so I’m not qualified to comment. Really, I just want to say: Fugazi?? REALLY??! I knew she had fairly catholic tastes, but that one’s surprising.

  2. I’d say she has rad taste in music, according to her playlists, if this were 1998. Nowadays it’s exactly what I’d expect her and others to like, in a “see? I like so many different types of music, guys” kind of way.

  3. Oops, didn’t finish. I was going to add that because of my above comment, she might be decent for AI.

  4. If you didn’t see her get ripped into as a guest on Bill Maher(and he was nice to her) then you might be fooled by her BS, but she’s not much different than any of the bimbos on “The Hills”. Her wanting to be on Idol would just further her political/fame whore agenda.
