Are you serious?! You’ve never Heard of Roisin Murphy?! How about Moloko? If not you’ve been living with your head in the sand. If you’ve not had the joy of this music in your life you’re missing out. Get some Roisin/Molok into your life. The Time Is Now!

Gaga is inspired by Roisin, Madonna, Bowie, Grace Jones etc and each one of them would have been inspired by someone before them, just as we will now see a generation of others inspired by Gaga. There is nothing truly original anymore, everyone and everything is inspired by something that went before. It’s not really worth losing your cool over. If Roisin’s not bothered then who cares?!

People say that she is just another pop star? Yes she is.But everyone is original in their own ways.So what if she wears weird outfits like the others.They aren’t wearing or singing about the same thing,sheesh!!!
The only people that she has really copied and to a small extent are:

Grace jones
David Bowie
MJ
Madonna
and maybe rosin(but she really hasn’t mentioned her)
Anything else is just the work of jealous arrogant avant fans trying to bring her down.

It does appear that Gaga has studied Roisin’s videos in detail. Having been previously ignorant on the subject; both Alison Goldfrapp and Roisin Murphy have been doing the over the top, almost parody of femininity thing much longer than Gaga, and they are def. not getting any credit for it that I know of. Also the pop synth electornica sound which I heard a US music critic rave Gaga for—for having this sixth sense that this is the music that people want to hear now in 2010.

Also it appears Madonna has copied both style (Goldfrapp, Kylie Mingon (sp?) and lyrics and music (Aisha) quite liberally over the years. Never knew this till I stumbled upon it over the internet.
Now, X-tina Aguilerra is being accused of copying Gaga to stay relevant. The only one who seems to escape this “stealing, ripping off of styles” these days is Katy Perry!

that lady is a “Single White Female” see the film from 1992..a girl moves in, steals from her roommate, her clothes, imitates the style, uses her friends, boyfriends, turns out she’s a complete psycho.
(hint) Gay people are easy targets…..
Roisin Murphy is sophisticated with grace and didn’t bother insult her own style and taste, why would she? Americans are suckers, brainwashed consumers. Just ask Marilyn Manson he’ll tell you the art scene is a joke…and has in several interviews.

I do see some slight similarities but nothing too big.I don’t see rosin with a pokerface.
Or gaga with overpowered, everybody has there influences.
Madonna did this kinda stuff before rosin.This sounds more like a madonna song.
Every decade has there little fashion weirdo.

People who keep saying she is copying act as if she didn’t have people she(rosin) wanted to be like too.Why can’t people be weird without being compared to previous weirdos.

I’m going with as many point out, some of these aren’t even copies, just kind of similarity.
The other thing is for me, Gaga has never denied she doesn’t copy and her lack of originality, she embraces everything that comes before her and admits it.
She takes stuff from the past, and makes it her own, all while being open about her ideas.
Not a lot of artists do that.
