My favorite song of the day (so far) (OK I know it’s early): Dead Man’s Bones’ “My Body’s A Zombie For You,” in which Ryan Gosling and Zach Shields lead the Silverlake Conservatory Children’s Choir in an eerie ode to someone who inspires so much love, s/he causes the other person to go all undead-like in the head. I’ve been listening to a bit of AM oldies radio lately, and “Zombie” sounds like it would fit right in, at least during the “Songs From A Possibly Alternate Dimension” hour. Dead Man’s Bones’ album comes out Oct. 6; the other tracks that the group’s released so far definitely are causing it to be on my Most Anticipated Albums That Have A Chance Of Actually Coming Out list. I heard this yesterday and thought it sounded like the other two songs I’ve heard from them, which I thought were pretty gimmicky. I guess I just don’t get it.
@MayhemintheHood: It doesn’t happen everyday, but I totally agree with you here.
