These cupcakes from a Montreal bakery were part of a greater Kiss-themed confection. Will the always marketing-savvy Kiss bassist Gene Simmons be thrilled by the flattery emanating from his future musical frontier, or will he rip off the bakery’s idea and get Wal-Mart to add cake toppers to the store’s forthcoming Kiss displays? Time will tell!

While in Quebec City on vacay last week, we passed an antique shop that specialized in these album covers turned into framed CD cases (hard to explain; it was an original cover, 12×12, backed with wood to be ~2″ thick, with a square hole in front that could hold around a dozen jewel cases, sticking out 3D-style).
Anyway, the shop’s prized offering, displayed lovingly in the front window, was a full set of the four ’78 KISS solo albums as framed wall hangings/CD holders. Presumably, you could fill the four cases with all the product Gene & co. have spewed out since ’74.
