Destiny’s Child Reunion Rumor Falls Flat On Its Face

THE RUMOR: A Destiny’s Child reunion? Of course, according to a UK tabloid reporter who ran into Michelle Williams at some party! “It definitely will happen,” she apparently told him during the reveling. “We’re sisters, we love each other and we want to work on the future of Destiny’s Child.” TRUTH THRESHOLD: Unfortunately, none of the members of DC are ready for this particular jelly. HOW THIS RUMOR GOT STARTED: News Of The World‘s Dan Wootton reportedly saw Williams, and after dispensing with the hi-how-are-yous he got down to business, asking if her former group would get back together. And according to his notes, she replied with the statement above. OMG! It has to mean that the contracts have been signed, right? KNOCK IT TO ITS KNEES, BABY: Well, after this bit of gossip spread throughout the globe, Michelle Tweeted a clarification:

I NEVER SAID DC is getting back together. Just bcuz I said we love each other and are sisters….they took that quote ran with it! Sorry! :(

Indeed, I can see Williams uttering the sisterhood half of the statement, thanks to it reading more like a general bland expression of support to me.
