Mariachi El Bronx, the first album from the mariachi-band alter ego of the LA rock outfit The Bronx, is a pretty lovely record, and its title pretty much hints at what you’ll get: Mariachi-style renditions of tracks by the band, a la “Cell Mates,” which is illustrated with the bar-themed video above. I wonder what happens if someone spills beer on their blinking-light outfits? Instant pyro? (I also like that they’ve DIY-ed their own cologne.) [Vimeo / Official site]
