Last night, Chris Brown continued his road to self-promotional redemption by releasing a new song via the microblogging service Twitter. In keeping with the increasing meta-nature of the entire Internet these days, the chorus of the track—titled “Twitter Ruff,” and released as a gigantic .wav—has Brown instructing whatever lady he has in his sights to “follow me like Twitter.” As far as pop songs about the Internet released in 2009 go, it’s no “LOL :),” but it does use the phrase “Obama stacks” to refer to money, so there’s that.
