Alicia Keys’ New Single Sure Sounds Like An Alicia Keys Song
The follow-up to Alicia Keys’ As I Am is apparently coming out in November, and the first single from it is “Doesn’t Mean Anything,” a tune with sad-sack lyrics and a melody that, it has to be said, sounds awfully similar to her single from two years ago “No One.” What’s with all this recycling going on lately? Are we really getting that close to the end of the world that we’re just running out of ways to creatively rearrange musical atoms?
